You can spend up to 48 hours in jail and may have to attend a MASEP course or a Victims Impact Panel. For commercial truck drivers, the penalties are more severe. You lose your commercial driver’s license for up to a year. If you’re a minor, for any blood alcohol content, it a $250 fine, a 90-day license suspension and the MASEP course. But, minors don’t have the 48-hour jail time or heavier fines.

After college, Attorney Franks worked for the Louisiana and Delta Railroad as a train brakeman and got a promotion to conductor and engineer and then worked for the Canadian National/Illinois Central Railroad.
Joey entered Mississippi College School of Law in 2011 and graduated cum laude in 2014. Extracurricular activities included the Moot Court Board, Student Federal Bar Association, Civil Law Society, and student librarian. Attorney Franks opened The Franks Law Firm, PLLC in June 2014 and has served hundreds of clients.
Joey is proud to call Jackson MS home. Found in 1821 and originally name LeFleur’s Bluff, it changed its name to honor Andrew Jackson. It’s the “The City with Soul” and home to the historic 1839 governor’s mansion. It’s also home of the USA International Ballet Competition which is staged every four years. Other cities in the competition include Varna, Bulgaria; Helsinki, Finland; and Moscow, Russia.
Variety is the spice of life and Joey has many advocations including photography, shooting at the Turcotte range, travel and hiking. His mother, Floyce Franks, is very proud of Joey and he is immensely appreciative of her love and support.
